Fees and Policies
Online Counselling: $140 per 50 mins +GST = $147.00
Counselling Office Visit: $160 per 50 mins +GST= $168.00
Biofeedback + Counselling Office Appt: $160 per 50 mins +GST= $168.00
Types of payment accepted: etransfer, credit card or cheque. Cash also accepted at time of office visits.
Update July 25 regarding GST: Due to recent laws exempting some psychotherapists from charging GST, it may become possible for me to stop applying GST to my services. My professional association, the BCACC, is currently investigating this possibility and I will inform current clients if this becomes possible, and will also post the good news here.
Coverage:
MSP unfortunately does not currently provide coverage. You may be covered through your extended health insurance, if Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCCs) are included in the mental health benefit, but you must check the fine print!
Private insurance: I see clients with ICBC claims for post-accident issues including pain management and rehabilitation counselling. I am able to direct bill for ICBC insurance only.
Current insurance participation: ICBC, Green Shield, Manulife, SunLife, Public Service Health Care Plan (PSHCP). Insurance plans do vary by employer, please check your plan for RCC coverage. UVic students (undergrads) have 80% coverage for my services (may change in the future).

You are welcome to set up an preliminary 15 minute phone session with me at no charge, to help you decide if I am the right counsellor for you.
Policies:
24 hour Cancellation Policy: If you cancel your appointment with less than 24 hours notice, your regular fee will be charged. In the case of in-person sessions, no fee will be charged if you are experiencing possible Covid symptoms and provide at least 2 hours notice. You must email or text to inform me within this 2 hour limit.
Social Media: I do not engage in social media connections with current or former clients.
